West Shore YMCA has 2 swimmers qualified for the USA National Swimming Championships to be held in Irvine, California from August 1 through August 5th. Swimmers will be attempting to qualify for multiple USA National Teams including the Pan Pacific Team, World Championship Team, World University Games Team and the Pan Am Games Team.

Swimming at this meet are Tricia Weaner (Gettysburg High School), who was named the PIAA Girls AAA High School Swimmer of the Meet at this past years PA High School State Championships.  Tricia will be swimming the 100 and 200 backstrokes.  Also swimming at the USA National Meet is Leah Gingrich (East Pennsboro High School), who was named the PIAA Girls AA High School Swimmer of the meet at this past years High School State Championship.  Leah is also a member of the 2006 USA National Junior Team.  Leah will be swimming the 400 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 400 IM, 200 fly and the 800 freestyle.
